I have been talking with owners of the Trident system and have heard great things about it. Although its a major investment, I think it would be worth it. My LFS is now a authorized dealer and he installs them for $400. He said it takes him several hours.

What are your thoughts on this system?

I run 4 of them if that tells you how much I love it. I was gonna set up a nano the old way and halfway through the timers/dials/plugs I said screw this and bought another apex.

I don’t think I’d ever set up a tank again without one.

there is a learning curve but with 1 evening, a computer, and your phone you can learn to write apex code (you really feel smart when you do this), and you can adjust control almost anything.

when you say “installs them” is that 400 dollars above the cost of the products? If so I would pass on that, it’s very simple to install if you’ve ever set up a tank before, and even if you haven’t they have great videos.

hope that helps, I have 2 full apex, and 2 EL. Feel free to shoot me any specifics with apex and I’ll be glad to answer. Some of the stuff I wasn’t a fan of or wasn’t needed for me, but I think you’ll be happy.
