I've had an issue every time I need to change my Trident reagents. The values of all three parameters shift significantly one way or another. I then gave to re-calibrate to get them back close to what they really are. Mind you, I don't use the fluid that comes with the reagents as I feel they are super inaccurate. I use the tank water itself and input the values from my hannas when calibrating. I find this way is much more consistent.

I don't have a problem doing this. I'm just mote curious if anyone else has experienced this.

So your using your tank water to calibrate?

Doesn't sound like a very valid way to calibrate anything.

Would you calibrate your refractometer with your tank water? No you would use the calibration fluid.

Sorry just not very scientific, or a good way to validate any test the trident is giving you.

Ever think maybe the hanna is off, and the trident numbers are correct?

Hanna is verified with thier calibration fluid and values are confirmed with red sea tests.

Anyway, that's not the point.
