Yes, she has the ABS on the bottom for the barebottom people. I tried it for awhile but it didn't last. Lol

My first barebottom lasted about 12 months until the wife decided she didn’t like it. Got another little bare bottom now, love it.
I know right , barebottom is easier to keep clean but it doesn't look natural. Maybe it's a woman thing, we love the look of sand. Lol At least I can say I tried it ;).

Plenty of blokes that prefer sand for the aesthetics. I’m more of a function over form geezer. Back in 2004/5, I couldn’t get my rock work right (live rock wall), in steps the wife, looked great. Dunno if she is highly talented or I’m really inept, lol

Funny you mention the rock wall. WOW, I totally remember mine now. That was the way to do the scape back then.;)

Oh nice ! The rock walk sure brings back memories. I use to complain because my fish at the time use to love to hide behind it lol
Yea i used to form my rockwork into a slanted wall towards the back and same thing.
This guy was making acid washed cement biocube inserts that took all the hiding places out but still looked like a rock wall in the back :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

You needed sand to protect the base from rockslides, lol

Isn't it amazing the things we've done in the past compared to how it's done now. Lol

Lol, I had a sand bed made from silaca, for a long time (8 or 9 years) You don’t see that now.

Bb or bust.lol you really have to embrace it as a reefing style. Sand just traps too much detritus imo. I went bb and it was just easier and better for my animals with my lazy reefing style.
Just can't keep the animals that need the sand. Only downfall.

I do like the oreo sand the white mixed with the black and than get a scooter blenny. Kool to watch them blend in with the sand
Only time I'd do sand again. Lol!

My old 120 was BB. My 20g nano cube is bare bottom. I have 2 other systems with sand, one 3-4" and one 1".
Most dont have the patience to let a bare bottom grow out. They can look nice if done right. I like both myself.
