I am starting a new build with a deep blue 75rr rimless with a center drilled tank. It has a 3/4 inch return bulkhead and a 1 or 1 1/4 drain bulkhead it uses 1 inch pipe but uses 1 1/4 vinyl off the bottom into a trigger 34 sapphire sump. My question is there a way to do a reverse durso into the sump area with this sump. Just getting this up and running and it seems like a lot of bubbles are coming down the drain but haven't tried doing any mods yet. It seems like people are doing a reverse durso to fix this problem but the area this sump drains into is very small so I would like peoples advice who own this sump.

How about cutting a small pice of pvc and pushing it into the bottom less bubbles

In this sump the pvc is about 2-3 inches below the surface. I shortened the pipe to this length and it is better but have heard good things about the reverse durso but not sure there is room to do so. I'm still hoping someone with this sump has figured a way to quiet it more.

I'm Pu a emerald 34".......looking forward to set this up. How is yours working now.....

I like it. A couple things i wish the filter socks were easier to get to but not bad. And dont like how the water enters the sump before spilling into the socks. But I'm hard to please, all in all a good sump.
