210gal Display tank. What water depth should I maintain in my sump. Should the water depth be progrssively lower left(input) to right(output)? My level is the same across the 4 chambers. I have my Octapus Regal 250 skimmer at 7 inch water depth. Thanks.

I have the same sump on a 235g tank. Your skimmer model should have a recommended water depth so use the adjustable baffle to set this depth based on the recommendations. Depending on what return pump you have the water level in the return section is going to vary. What you really want to make sure of is that your sump has room to catch the volume of water draining back into it during a power loss situation.

I reworded my post. I am within the recommended water depth for my skimmer. My sump catches the water increase ok. Is you water level the same in all 4 chambers?

So my skimmer section is at 9” and my return runs at 7-1/2”

in a power loss situation I have a 2” buffer before my sump overflows
