I have been seeing some blue jaw trigger pairs coming up for sale recently. I love the idea of male & female interaction in the tank. I have also seen individual triggers come up for sale at a less expensive price for Males and females. Are they like clowns where they need to pair up before you put them in together? Or can you buy one of each and they will get along?

Awesome! Have you guys noticed them swimming together, or ‘courting’? Or do they kinda do their own thing?

Yeah females are not definitive until over 4 even closer to 4,5". Bonding in an observarory situation with just the 2 goes alot better. Its a good success rate, but exactly how bonded can have varying results. I bonded a pair in a 40g to go into a 210g diplay. They were attached at the hip. The male jumped and I replaced him. While they do hang very often, the new couple is not as close as the original couple. They swim together, courting behavior I guess, they have a 2 story condo they are always in and out of. An interesting addition.
