Ok when I did my last stock I put in a mated pair of blue jaw triggers, Aprox 2.5 inch long. I know they are both alive as I can see them back in this cave, will they ever come out or are their ways to entice them, I got so nervous about them eating I placed a silverside in their cave and I saw them nipping at it. Any clue on these fish

Some blue jaws take a little longer to adjust than others, so unless it's been several weeks I wouldn't worry too much. I actually just got a 2.5" red tail about a month ago and it took him at least a week before he was comfortable in his QT tank. I was also a little nervous about his eating habits, but was told that it could take up to a couple weeks before the trigger resumes regular eating habits. Try to feed a variety of food and soak in garlic. My stuff soaks for at least 24hrs before I feed.

NP, since they're so small try some lance fish or large mysis. I fed my red tail large mysis for the first couple weeks. Now I throw in a silverside and that keeps the little guy busy for a while.

Blue Throats can be extremely shy. You can also try clam on the half shell or rod's reef. It can take up to a month before they will eat so do not worry if they still have a healthy weight.

Do you have any other fish in with them? My blue jaw male hid for several days, but with my tangs consistently out, he decided to see the tank. He'd dart into his hiding after he seen me or anyone coming until he seen nori. Now he's beating the tangs to the nori before I get it in the water. GL

Yes I have some wrasses, clowns and a bule hippo and yellow tang. The male is all about the swimming the female is hiding big time.

Well low and behold they were both out today, still very very ancy like if they saw me they darted in the rocks but all is well

Great news!! Soon they'll be following your every movement like puppies.

Mine hid for a week and now he's one of the family. His favorite actually seems to be Krill.
