I'm upgrading to larger 150 gallon, and wanted opinions if a trigger emerald 34 would be a sufficient sump. I wanted a 39 but my stand width is 15.5 inches, so it won't fit. Dimensions are very close, only major difference between the two is gallons it holds. 31 to 40 gallons respectively. I don't have a skimmer picked out yet and height of doors is 32 in, so that's not a prob. I'm emailing them how much a custome sump would be but dreading how much more it'd be. Thanks in advance.

More volume the better. I have 36 ruby and like it real well. Pick out a skimmer and ensure the thing will fit good [emoji4]. Look at refugiam sizes to more better there too.

I question the stand ? isn't a 6 ft. long tank 18 inches wide ? What brand of stand do you have ? I can't see why a 16 inch wide sump couldn't fit under a stand for a 150 gallon tank.If the stands braces are in the way I would look into a different stand with better use of its supports .Or get the biggest that fits .

Yeah I had a custom done, I goofed and braces are in the way. You are correct tank is 18 wide. With braces it is 15 .5 :/

I had a similar problem. I knocked a hold in the wall behind the tank and put a Trigger emerald 39 in my old ladies computer room, my fish room now. Took heat for about a month. It came down to water volume for me.
