Trigger Systems Emerald 39 sump review

Hi Everyone,

I am considering the purchase of a new Trigger Systems Emerald 39 sump. I have looked at several other sumps and considered getting one made custom but I think I am going to pull the trigger (pun intended) on the Trigger Systems Emerald 39.

I can get it for $320 new with a whole sale discount so the price is hard to beat. It will support my SRO 2000 INT skimmer and my 120g DT.

Does anyone have a review of this sump? Alternative I should consider?

I like the filtersock -> Skimmer -> Fuge -> Return layout. My only wish is that the refugium section was bigger but that doesn't really matter. It will only house chaeto anyway..

Just looking for affirmation that I am making the right call haha. Reviews etc are very welcome!

I don't have that exact model but I have the Trigger Systems Crystal sump. They are all extremely well made. As long as your equipment will all fit, I would go for it. Yes, you can make them cheaper out of glass aquariums, but they don't look as nice
