I have a 50 gallon cube and my sump space is limited. Both the Trigger Systems Ruby Cube 20 and the Fiji Cube 20 2nd gen have the right sizes to fit into my stand.

Which is better?

The Ruby Cube is about $80 more at $350 while the Fiji cube is $270... Does anyone have any experience with either of those sumps and give me their thoughts please. Thank you

While I can not compare the two I will say that I have the Ruby Cube 20 on my tank. I believe it to be a solidly built piece of equipment that has all the room for the required equipment.

Looking at the Fiji Cube I like some of the design options they chose, but i am extremely happy with the purchase i made.

I know this isn't much help but....

Not exactly what you’re asking but I bought a ruby 34 and I absolutely love it. It’s nice and very sleek looking and has a lot more space than the sump I upgraded from. Trigger systems made a very nice sump. Note, I got mine from trigger systems blemished stock and got $150 off the original price. The “blemish” looks like a smudge on the inside of the red baffle and can’t be seen with water in it. I can’t even get it to show in pictures. It still comes with the warranty and the price included shipping as well.

i currently have a fiji cube 20. ive owned trigger in the past and actually still have the trigger 18" cube on my frag tank.
i like that fiji has lids over every compartment and that it has several attachments and adjustable water level. i dont like that the compartments are small and no built in bubble trap.

the only thing i really liked on the trigger system was the large compartments, and the cool colors they come in.

i picked up a trigger systems tideline 20 on sale last year and it's solid with decent room for skimmers, return pumps etc.. and has bubble trap with adjustable skimmer compartment (7 inch sock too). I think the price is steep now though but it would be a good fit for you dimensions. I thought they may still be around 300, but nope!

^^^^^^ Funny when I checked their site I swore I saw 50% off then I joined the mailing list and now it is 5% off, can you check again and see if it has changed?

I will throw in my hat and say Fiji Sump I bought there 46" model, so I will say if you take a long and hard look at each sump you will be amazed which one is for you.

Just in case you want your budget blown.

yesterday when i looked at their site it showed the 50% banner the entire time I browsed. Wierd! Now when i click their site I see the 50% for about a second or two before it goes back to 5%. Apologies for getting anyones hopes up! It must be some glitch with their site.

I know this is an old thread, but, I'm having the exact same mental discussion with myself with these two. Which direction did you end up going?
