Looks like ich,
I believe you still have the fish in QT, if so add copper or CP to the recommended dosage for 30 days. Make sure every fish in the tank is treated. If this is DT, remove all fish to quarantine and treat with copper or CP, keep inverts in DT and run it fallow for 76 days.

Correct, I was using it as an observation tank. I'll just have to take the little bit of live rock I have in there out. I have some cupermine but read that coppersafe is a little better. I have a harlequin tusk in there so would you go with coopersafe or cupermine or does it really matter?

Your tusk will handle both well. Since you already have the cupramine, I'd just go with that. Qt the live rock now for 76 days or more.

Don't put that rock in any other tank, or use nets/equipment/wet arms in other tanks (like a DT).

And I agree that's ich.

Coppersafe is supposed to be a bit safer than cupramine. Increase copper levels slowly over 5 days or so, small amounts added several times per day. Test daily.

Good luck!

So I have 4 fish in this tank which is a 90g plus a 20 gallon sump but im debating on if it would be easier to treat them in 20g tanks. I can set up two 20g and split the fish 2 and 2 or keep them in the 90? Im not sure what would be easier to do medication wise.

I agree with the ich diagnosis. I would suggest using the 90 if you are able to since it will help reduce problems with ammonia and water quality.

Should I leave the skimmer on or shut it off?

The skimmer on the display? Leave it on. Continue to run the display as you normally would, only with less food (since there would be no fish in there while it's fallow) unless you end up with nitrates that are too low.

No the display is not infected. These fish were recently purchased and were in an observation period but there is a skimmer on the 90 qt tank. Can I let it run or will it remove the coppersafe?

Ohhh. Sorry, it's hard to keep up with all the threads. lol You can leave it running with the copper, however, most other meds that you may end up using will make it go nuts. It's best to turn it off when using anything else.
