What are your thoughts on tank size for a picasso triggerfish? I have read as small as a 75g if housed alone and essentially as large as you can afford?

This write up, talks about the different types of triggers and their character. Good read.

Picasso grow extremely slow, if you get a really small one(under 2") he will likely grow up less aggressive and be well in a 75 for many years. Personally I'd like to see him in a 6' foot tank, 180g ideally or at least a 125, but a really small one will be fine in a 75 for well over 5-7 years. In a 75 you can easily house him with a couple of other semi aggressive fish. Just don't over crowd him and make sure you choice in tankmates can hold their own. A dwarf angelfish, a flame hawkfish, come to mind.

Thanks. I think I might take a bunch of pictures as I set up the tank, but no thread. I was measuring my tank, before deciding on placement, and dreaming of a 6 foot tank. 72x24x24 would be awesome

180g seems to be the consensus for any trigger. They are very active swimmers with large territories in the wild.
