I am a little late to show my build because this tank was started two years ago as a 37g column tank that I cracked about a year ago and upgraded to a 65g. I also added a 20 long frag tank that sits behind the main display and shares the same 40g sump.
For lighting I run ocean revive 24/7 leds. One unit over the frag tank and two over the main display.
Flow comes from a Maxspect Gyre 150 at 100% forward pulse mode on main DT, and Maxspect Gyre 130 at 100% forward pulse mode on the 20 gallon frag tank.
Filtration is provided with a Bubble Magnus Curve 5 and a small sulfur denitrifying reactor. I do a 30g water change most weeks with FRITZ RPM salt, matching calcium, ALK, Sg, and temp to the system.
I use a combination of bionic 2 part and kalkwasser on a doser to maintain cal and ALK. I do not use kalkwasser in my main topoff water, but instead dose it separately via doser. I also use a pump on my doser to add the main topoff water.
I test ALK every couple days and everything else weekly when I do water changes and adjust accordingly. I made a sump chamber that holds approx 10g of RO/DI which lasts about two weeks. I designed this system to be as simple as possible and have the ability to leave the tank unattended for up to two weeks (which I have done). Total system volume is about 100g.
Fish include a powder blue tang (king of the tank), a yellow tang, foxface, yellow coris wrasse, melanurus wrasse, a single clown, and a green dragonet.
Corals include mostly SPS, with a few lps in the mix. I have to be very careful with LPS placement though due to very high flow in the tank. I have a poor frogspawn that does not want to grow much due to the current beating it up. I have not really added any new corals over the last few months.
Here's some eye candy pics I took today on my cell phone. Hopefully they look decent on a PC.
Thanks for looking!
