I got a goby of the Trimma genus about a month and a half ago and I haven’t been able to figure out what kind it is. It’s on the larger side (about 1.5”- 2”) for a Trimma. It was sold as a T. benjamini but it sucks the white ring around the eye that is found in benjamini. I’m thinking either T. milta or T. barralli.

It’s hard to tell but he has blue and red barring over his eyes

Cannot tell from the pics but very low probability of being T. barralli as trimmas are not usually collected by the suppliers in the Red Sea and East Africa. If you can talk to the seller and ask them to try and know which origin shipment the fish came from you would be able to cross the off one out.
