I have a pandora zoa which is growing out of control. It already takes over 3 rocks and growing over other zoas. Any tips on how to trim it or restrict its growth? I've heard them release a toxic substance, so I'm afraid to cut it inside the tank.

You can run carbon and the tank should be ok unless you’re like shredding hundreds at a time. I would trim them using a razor blade and a credit card. You cut the mat between the polyps with the blade and use the card to pull the polyps off. Then you can save them and glue them to frags to trade or sell.

honestly if you have any pics I may get a frag off you lol if you can salvage any.

Thanks! I'll try it. I'm mostly trying to save the other zoa on the left to be completely taken over by the pandora. Here's a picture, but I have no idea how to properly frag :-)

You can use Red Sea's Aiptasia-X along the edge of the mat. It will kill them off for 2-3 months.

I have a a full rock I’m looking to move

I had the same issue, I re did my scape and have them on their own island with GSP.

GSP is slowly growing overtop and has claimed roughly 1/2 the colony, Ill keep a few eventually and try to tame the GSP.

Couple buddies of mine told me I may as well toss it. I’m holding out hope someone will rehome it

Yeah it's a weed but so is gsp. It's all in what you like. Experiment. Try new things. Just know palytoxin is real
Probably just giving the whole rock away. Someone told me to break the rock up. I feel like that will unleash paly
