Trimming waving hand anthelias?

How do y’all do it? Never done it before and my anthelias are getting long in my nano tank. Do I have to scrap them of the rock base or can I trim them with small scissors? Thanks!

Yes, trim with scissors, but be mindful of loose pieces, they can wind up anywhere and grow.
