I got this watermelon from Pnoy in Febuary of '08 as a one eye frag. For the longest time it grew and grew but never put on any new eyes. Finally it grew one new random eye about 6 months ago. It looked like this...

a couple weeks ago I put it in my frag tank with some of my other watermelons. I just noticed the chalices in the tank were coloring back up from the move and I noticed the watermelon above had turned into this...

I think i'd get a headache if I even tried to count how many eyes were popping outta that thing! :xd:

DANG! Nice surprise huh? Sweet!

WOW!.. maybe the Pnoy WM got scared of all your beautiful WM chalices so that piece has to step up!.. Very nice man ...Thanks for the update

LOL - mine is the same way - it doesn't like to pop eyes till it gets big I guess!

lol I think Ian now has more than me.. its a 3yr old Chalice I bought from Chriskim in RC .. One of my 1st chalice...

Seth and Brianx45 also has slower growth I heard..

thats awesome. We have a watermelon that did the same thing - sort of. It had about 8-10 eyes on it for months (not in our tank). No new eyes - but a whole lot of growth. Then we bought it and within a few weeks there were over 25 new eyes growing.

The one eyed willy wonka watermelon chalice.

(sorry I reserve the right to the willy wonka chalice name. LOL)

btw, +1 on the WM chalice family pic... just in time for the holidays... ;)

You need to cut the tumors off, so cut a frag and send it my way for testing. LOL
Nice chalice Ian you are the chalice king.

That looks great Ian! Glad your patience paid off.
