I was on my way home and I decided to stop by the LFS. Usually they dont have anything nice, just the everyday run of the mill zoa's. I call them run of the mill because they are always a drab olive color. Today though I picked up some nice ones. I'll post pics soon when they open.

It also came with some strange mushroom, I dont know anything about them. Hope its not too difficultto care for as ive never had one before!

Should be a green frilly mushroom. I have a couple. I haven't done anything for them and they grow, and grow, ect.....

The zoas opened so I have attached a pic of it, The mushroom opened up and looks like some weird monster. Still waiting on the pallys to fully open. I think its some kind of PPE

Yeah the first pic shows the stripes on the closed polyps, so those are definitely some kind of People Eater.

I would separate the zoas from the mushroom but that's just me. Could spell trouble.

I don't think the frag in the first picture is the same as the zoas in the open pic. The ones in the first pic are some type of PE. You can see them a little in the last shroom photo too.

Yeah I figured that. The first pic there's only 10 or so PE's, the second pic has a ton of RDEs.

Be sure to post more pics tomorrow pakora! Hopefully the PEs will be open all the way.

Sorry guys I just woke up. Its been a long day. I think im going crazy! I was at the LFS and I saw the palys next to the mushroom. As far as I can remember they looked like a rainbow. They were beautiful so I asked the salesman if he can give me them and then also the other zoo's I posted here. I then went to look at some small pieces of live rock while he put them in the bag. I came home excited and posted the pics here. The paly's opened partially but when they did it was a different color!? :squigglemouth:. I thought my mind was playing tricks on me or the guy at the LFS switched them or something; even though it was impossible since this was the only one with a mushroom attached. I was dead tired but i drove all the way back to the LFS (only took 10 mins lol) and walked back up to the tank and looked to see if he had put the wrong one in the bag. Well I'll never know what happened because there were two Radioactive Dragon Eyes colonies there, I had bought one and there was one left and when I went back the Paly I thought I had bought was gone and the other RDE's were gone. Oh well, next time I'll have to watch the person put the paly in the bag AND make sure I have all my brain cells working. I slept at 4am yesterday because I had a big test and I was running throughout the day on coffee so maybe thats where things went wrong. Anyhow, the palys kept opening partially and closing so I was unable to get a clear shot. Here are the best pics I could get. I'll post more when they open fully. Sorry for the long winded post.

I woke up this morning and they were all wide awake. Love em or hate em here they are! They look much more vibrant in person. My photography skills suck (not much you can do with a point of sale, point of sale [get it? lol])

Still a good find...the first picture is definitely a PE of some type, the white striping on the outside of the polyps gives it away. I never walk away when they are bagging up my treasures. Saw an LFS employee drop an anthias to the ground from about 8 feet up, bend down, pick it up,bag it and hand it to a customer. Fish was like $50. I had to let the customer know what was going on and when he looked at the fish you could see where scales had been knocked off and it was having trouble staying upright.

That last pic...I'd say you have Purple ringed people eaters... a very nice find, especially if they were thown in for you.

I'll never make the mistake of walking away again! :nosebleed_002:

Very nice pakora!

Thank you :)

I went back to the LFS and bam they had another PE. It looked like sort of a dull peach color until I went up close and realized that it had a translucent type of color like some xenias! They are closed now and my lights shut off (they go with the day night cycle outside) so I have to wait until tomorrow to snap some pics. stay tuned!

Im late for class so I dont have time to take good pics. I took a few and this is the best one I have so far. Will take more later!

Under actinics they are freaky green. Under daylight they look like this, they have a translucent color its pretty cool! It looks plain from far though :-P
