Hi all I have just started to dose the core 7, when I put the 8 pieces of SPS in the tank the ALK was 8.3 the CAL was 452. It has been dropping some that's when I started Triton. Tonight I am at ALK 7.3 CAL is 426, should I bump the ALK back up or let it ride? it went down to 7.1 but I increased my Triton dose and it has stayed at 7.3 for the last 2 days

Triton recommend keeping alk at 8dkh .. the rest (calc/mag) should all go hand in hand ... I run triton other methods alk is 8dkh and calc sits at 460 .. mag is around 1380 .. some salt mixes you can buy mix higher than these numbers as well .. I really only test my alk .. the others once in a couple of weeks .. but if your corals are happy where it is then that’s also ok .. but you have less of a buffer zone for yourself if for any reason alk drops quickly .. I would aim too keep it a 8dkh

Corals are happy and growing not much color yet but there growing I will bump things up a little Thanks

Unless nutrients are very low, you can readily keep alk at 7-11 dKH without apparent issues. If you want it higher, raise it, but there's no particular "need" to do so. :)

The Triton alk additive is more dilute than many, so it takes more volume than many other brands.
