I'm running full Triton method on a 100 gallon mixed reef. One thing I've noticed is Triton recommends keeping the alkalinity at 7 DKh. Everything I've seen, most people try to keep there DKh at 8-8.5. Anyone have any experience running at elevated DKh on Triton?

Thanks

The Triton Core7 quick reference guide is here
It say on page 2:
After a day carbonate hardness should be measured, the target should be 8dKH. If the carbonate hardness falls (as of 8dKH to 7 dKH), the dosage should be increased.

The full Triton method guide is here
It says on page 6:
Don’t obsess about achieving a constant reading of 8dKH, stability is the goal, if your tank maintains a stable dKH of 7.3 then that is just as good as 8.
Note: for users of Base Elements CORE7 we recommend a target dKH of 7.

So they have some confusion in the their info. Anyways, 8 to 8.5 is a great target for a mixed reeef tank on Triton.

We're running the Core7 method, but I think I'm going to try and keep my dKH @ 8.5. What did you end up doing?
