Triton detox to remove Cupramine

Hello, I would like to know if I can use Triton Detox to quickly remove Seachem copper "Cupramine" from my FOWLR tank?
Seachem reccomend to not use their water conditioner "Prime" because, like all water conditioners, is a reducing agent, it has the potential to reduce the Cupramine from the safe Cu2+ form to a very toxic Cu+ form.
I think Detox is a chelating agent so I afraid to change copper in "Cupramine" from Cu++ to Cu+!
Do you think the use of Detox with Cupramine could be dangerous for my fishes health?

Detox will not reduce the copper. I do not know whether it will bind it, however.

Hi Randy, this is what Reefbuilder wrote about Detox:
"Triton Detox is precisely this adsorption amplifier, consisting of extra pure humic acid, a large molecule that will actively take up and bind with free floating trace levels of heavy metals. After a few days of mixing in your tank water, you simply add activated carbon to remove the large humic acid molecules and you will have removed a good amount of the toxic heavy metals".
So do you confirm that I can use Detox to eliminate Cupramine from my tank without the risk of poisoning my fish?

I am aware of what detox is. As I said above, it will not reduce copper +2 to copper +1. If that is the toxicity that concerns you, then no, it will not happen.

Whether it removes it or binds it, i do not know. That can only be determined by experiment and I've not seen any such experiment.
