It says to stop carbon and ozone for 3 days. I assume this means gac and is not referring to vinegar dosing? Denitrators need to be shut down?

Yes gac is carbon. They don't want it to remove the product for 3 days. Let us know if it works!

Ok so I dosed the product, took GAC off line, and am continuing to dose vinegar to denitrators, and tank as usual.

So Tues I will hook up a fresh reactor full of GAC. Here goes nothing.

Killing me to wait until Tuesday to put the gac back online. Taking everything I got to wait until morning. Lol

OK I'll change it on day 7 then. I guess I'll probably give it another week and send out sample 2 to Triton.

I do not know since they do not say what it is.

According to the reef builders article it's humic acid. How do you think this would work Randy?

"Activated carbon, GFO and resins can only remove these heavy metals down to the parts per billion. Short of having a massive phytoremediation setup with a substantial standing crop of macroalgae, you need to use a “adsorption amplifier” so that activated carbon and the like can actually remove these trace heavy metals.

Triton Detox is precisely this adsorption amplifier, consisting of extra pure humic acid, a large molecule that will actively take up and bind with free floating trace levels of heavy metals. After a few days of mixing in your tank water, you simply add activated carbon to remove the large humic acid molecules and you will have removed a good amount of the toxic heavy metals."

Interesting choice. Humic acids do naturally bind many metals in seawater, such as copper, which is almost completely bound to organics such as humic acids in natural seawater.

Aluminum will bind to humic acids under the right conditions. Not sure exactly how much that hppens in seawater.
