Hi Guys,

I am running Triton method since early year. Everything seems ok, corals are healthy. But my SN results are growing every single month...

The big jump from May could be caused by the fact that I've turned off the protein skimmer for 4 weeks due to low nutrient levels as it caused coral bleaching. Luckily all corals recovered since that.
Anyone has any idea what may cause this? I read rumors that the PVC pipes release it but I do not not anyone around me who has the same issue, but I am 100% sure here at my place everyone uses the same PVC pipes.
Others said the magnets of the pumps may release it what I also doubt. I am using Jebao, ATB (jecod) and Tunze pumps, millions of ppl use it all around the world.
My aquarium cabinet is aluminium covered with glass.
My rock is natural live rock, not artificial.

I really do not have any idea. Maybe one of the cosmetics or shower gel I use have it? I always wash hands before putting my hand into the tank.

SN is tin so you need to really check out all of your pumps, magnets, and anything that could be metal that has a protective cover on it. One of these coatings may be compromised. IMHO this is most likely the source.

Well it was the first thing I did - however there is nothing visual on the holder magnets neither on the inside of the pumps. All seems undamaged and fine. :S I can't think of a checking method other than visual.

On the front of that pump I believe there is an impeller clip that holds it on. You may want to inspect that.
