I just purchased a new Reefer 350. I initially planned to do Triton Method and purchased an aftermarket triton style sump and a Kessil H160 for the fuge. I am filling the tank today. I didnt realize at the time but it seems like Triton Core7 is never in stock. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on going ATI over triton for the ease of availability. I do not want to purchase any additional equipment as I have the sump with a Nyos Quantum 120 skimmer and a reef octopus varios 6 return pump with a kessel H160 so I am all in on the triton method style sump at this point. I want to avoid water changes. The other consideration against ATI is that I live in an apartment and mixing and storing the ATI 10 liter solutions will be a bit of a draw back. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Suggestion - Berlin method.
Not the answer you're looking for but I've never run Triton or ATI and haven't really seen enough reasons to either, especially the Triton method. For me it's a good skimmer, dose 2 part, a fuge, and easy water changes.

My vote is go triton because I think it will have staying power and has proven results, I am wanting to make the switch myself. I'm not sure what the deal is with core 7 being out of stock, I have noticed this as well. Im not very well versed in ATI essentials so i am biased towards triton.

I would lean towards triton because I feel that their icp tests are the best we have in the industry. The rest of it's basically all the same chemicals/elements when it comes down to it. I for one have no interest yet in either as I don't really want to send water out for testing more often than once a year or so, or when something is wrong. I set up auto waterchanges and make my own 2 part using Randy's recipes. Easy and fairly cheap.

I started my new tank immediately on the ATI Essentials system. It has only been a couple months and it took a few weeks to figure out my tanks current dosing requirements (I started low) but things are staying pretty spot on now and as far as comparing to other systems I cannot say....However, at this point I have zero complaints and everything is doing great in my mixed (new) reef. Storage and mixing are really not an issue as I pre-mix into 10l jugs and that is what I dose out of with my GHL Doser 2.1....

If you're starting with dry rock, I'm a big proponent of starting with Triton Other Methods until the tank matures more. If starting with all live, then regular Triton is fine.

You'll find a decent number of Triton fails in various new build threads. I think they'd have had more luck had they started with Other Methods for the first 8-12 months in dry rock systems.
