I set up a small nano reef in my bedroom, 29 gals. 20 sump. I set the sump up for the triton method as designed. I was talking to my LFS guy about the differences between regular Triton and the other method. I went ahead and decided that because it's a small tank the other method would probably be best and ordered it. After that, I read that if you do the other method it doesn't come with certain elements that are beneficial to chaeto, which is fine I guess, I can always do biopellets. but my question is on top of putting coral in the tank I was planning to put some red macroalgae in the display tank. what can I do?
Manually add the missing trace elements and go with chaeto and the macroalgae? If so, what are the missing elements? I can't find an ingredient chart.
Any help would be appreciated.
