So I run a calcium reactor on my tank for the easy of use. I’m interested in trying the triton system but don’t want to give up the reactor. Can it be done and if so how?

What aspect of the "Triton" method do you want to use?

Thanks for the question. I would like to use my reactor for the calcium, alkalinity and magnesium but use a dosing pump for the other elements. I guess I should ask is that even necessary and will I get the other elements from the coral skeletons that are in my reactor currently? How would u do it?

You can use all aspects of the Triton system along with a CaCO3/CO2 reactor except the calcium and alkalinity additions (base Elements) but unfortunately for you, they put many of the other elements into that additive as well.

One of their documents says they hope to sell something to go along with CaCO3/Co2 reactors in 2013, but I do not see it available.

"A special product in the “BASE ELEMENTZ” line should be available by the middle of 2013 for use in combination with the utilization of a specific calcium reactor. It is currently under development."

You can certainly do the testing and see what (if anything) you want to add from their list of separate Trace Base chemicals one at a time.

Another issue is whether your reactor might be adding too much of something, and without water changes, it might require effort to reduce it (if you want to).

I'd like to find a product that focuses on coral tissue trace elements too.

Coral tissue health imo is mainly having no3 and po4 as well as amino acids and food in the water.
