@Randy farley-holmes my triton came today and Tin is 73. Is it super high? I use Ro-di water but suspecting rusty galvanized pipe? Does Ro-di takes out elements from the water?

73 ug/L Sn, if that is what you mean, is quite high.

There should not be appreciable tin getting through an RO/DI at 0 ppm TDS.

One of the suspects is PVC pipe, which can use tin additives. Does your system have a lot of PVC? Is it a newer system?

Are organisms in the tank suffering?

I've also heard people who found cracked magnets had high tin. Most notably Ecotech MPs.

I got my results about a week ago and it had massively high tin as well. I did find a rusted clamp but now I'm curious if it's a problem at Triton instead...

Mine is a all in one tank so no pvc. Tank is 4 months old. Is there s way to remove tin? Any media?

Yes I had high end chalice frags and sps died all of a sudden

Search your tank for concealed and corroding metal. Triton recommends big water changes to fix it. One thin you can try is TLF Metasorb.

I have high tin and using pvc, my system is 5 months old how long will it leach metal from PVC if it is indeed that?
also i am building a new tank, is there any pipong that is known not to leach anything into water?

My tin issue was due to an ecotech mp40. After removing it and a few water changes it went back to normal. Seems to be a common issue.

@Randy Holmes-Farley I have all in one tank nuvo 40 gallon. I did a 10 gallon water change. Empty the back chamber and clean out. I have a jecod gyre, jecod dct return pump, cobalt neo-therm heater, tunze protein skimmer and a santa monica drop algae scrubber and a flipper algae scraper. I have a magnetic frag rag and a fee magnetic individual frag holders. I had one bare neodyum magnet which I just removed. I cant find anything corroding. I have a stray voltage of 28volt. 12-14 volt comes from algae scrubber’s submerged led. Rest I cant figure out. What is the suspect? Bare neodyum magnet or santa monica drop scrubber?

@Randy Holmes-Farley my ato tank is Polypropylene and I use Kalk on ato. Any problems to raise tin levels?

I've not heard that there is tin in polypropylene.

Tin is quite soluble at high pH, so it is not limited in limewater as magnesium and copper are, but I don't have any evidence that tin is substantial in calcium hydroxide.
