I'm setting up my new tank with Triton in mind, the tank is a elos 70 (55 gallons) and a 60 gallon frag tank all plumbed into the big new trigger systems Triton sump (the 44 inch long version rated for a 200 gallon system).

Obviously this sump is massive and my water volume will be pretty large in comparison to my display tank. I currently have a reef octopus 110 skimmer, manufacturer recommends it on a 75 gallon system. Obviously this is undersized for my new water volume, but, with how massive the fuge is on this sump, and with light on the fuge not being a concern (kessil h380) AND due to the fact that I am limited on fish stocking due to limited size on the display should I even worry about the skimmer being under rated?

the people i know running triton are trying to go skimmerless
