Triton sump

I have the Trigger Triton 36 sump, it works good, sump area is large it does allow some algae to get through into the skimmer area. The only other thing I'm not completely thrilled with is I wish there were more bubble traps between the skimmer and the return pump section. Otherwise I'm very happy with it.

Have you looked at bashsea? The smart series is pretty exceptional in my opinion.

I have I didn't really like the way the return is setup but other than that it's an awesome looking sump

You can have these places make you a custom sump if you want, even Trigger.

If you get the Trigger, make sure it's the Triton V2 model. Lets you use filter socks if you want. The original didn't.

The Trigger sumps have a small area, imo, for the skimmer. So make sure your sizing is good. I was considering getting the 44 V2, even though I have the blue 39, for the bigger area in the front for a skimmer.

I went with synergy because the skimmer section fit my bubble king skimmer and fuge was large. Issue with design is hard to keep algea from getting thru slits and wants to creep over top and i am only running 6-700 gph flow thru it

I have the synergy triton, custom build to accommodate tank size. Overall mine is 70" long, fuge has 2 lids rather than one although space between lids isn't much. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the probe holder location in the return section. If I did use their probe holder everything is down stream from dosing so I'll have to find another solution for that. Build quality is good although it hasn't been filled yet :). I doubt I'll have leaks though.

Only thing I'd consider is if you want them to throw in probe holders tell them to put them in upstream from your dosing lines. Since you already ordered you still have time to request the probe holder change if you added it and want it upstream of your dosing.

I did notice that about the probe holders, good to know they can move them, I had contacted bashsea about building a custom a few weeks back and they simply replied buy our smart series it's made for Triton lol. I'm leaning more towards synergy I love the black and red color.

Dont get probe holder in final chamber bad design, gets in the way and creates a waterfall and makes noise, also if you go synergy reverse plate in fuge so flow is against flow restrictor, original setup causes it to bow and cheato gets out, even at low flow
