I just received my water test results. Everything looks good with one exception. The Triton test gave me a reading of 385 for calcium. I kept a sample of the water I sent to them and retested with my Salifert calcium test kit which I have always trusted. Again I got a reading of 430.

Test kit is fairly new - 2/22 expiration.
My friend who also recently sent in a water test had the same experience. He said that his reading from Triton on calcium was even lower (larger difference from what he gets from Salifert).

Anyone have similar experience???

I'm not sure which test result to trust.

Contact them about it, I forget whether it is Triton or Ati or both but i seem to recall they keep 1 of those vials that they can run another test on if necessary....think it was on a vid i saw Ehsan saying this

Do you have access to any other test kits to confirm your reading?

I don't have any other test kits. I'm checking with locals to see if anyone has a Red Sea test kit. Another of my friends got similar results. They also use Salifert test kit for Calcium.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't think of that. That's a very good idea.

I think I would trust the Triton ICP test vs a Salifert that has more variables to mess up. User error, vials not cleaned properly, inconsistent drops etc.

Get another test kit and try but I would trust the Triton.

My salifert was reading 450, Triton said 664. I got a Hannah checker that was in line with the Triton.
