triton without skimmer

I'm currently running my tank without a skimmer,
40B with sump and fuge. Fuge is lit with a kessil H380 for 5 hours a day. Nitrates and phosphates hovering undetectable.
Can i successfully run the triton method with this tank? alternatively i could possibly split the fuge and run a small skimmer in the fuge section.

The "TRITON Method" has specific components (https://www.triton.de/en/triton-method-slide) so anything outside of this is considered "Other Method".
