Trochus expelling eggs into the water?

When I first noticed this, I thought it was expelling sperm but upon closer look, it really seems like it was just expelling eggs into the water rather than laying them on the glass. Is that odd?

Without a video hard to tell but they do disburse eggs at Will

Perfectly normal. They are broadcast spawners. My have done so many times.

My clowns live to hang out near them when they do Tbis. They get a nice snack.
