Trochus or Turbo ID driving me nuts!

I know this doesn’t necessarily matter but is this a trochus snail or a turbo snail?? I was told when I bought them trochus but I’m thinking they look more turbo.

any seasoned snailers out there that can help a noob?

Ah what a relief. Can you explain your rational? I thought torchus where black for some reason is that wrong?

Trochus is a much more desirable species in my opinion, unless your battling cotton candy algae, then a few turbos are better for that.

Yes for sure I wanted the trochus and would be sad if they were turbo

Turbo will have a round shell, not only around the foot, but around the top where your snail is pyramid shaped. Also the black and white stripes surrounding the foot. Most common type of snail is an Astrea, same shape as the trochus but they lack the stripes that yours has.

Also not sure if turbo have those little “whisker” appendages but they are much more apparent with trochus
