Trochus snail spawning video

Did a water change last night. found my snail doing this today.

Congrats on becoming a proud parent (assuming those eggs hatch). My spawned now I have at least a hundred tiny snails in my tank

Do them and your buddies a favor. Pass those babies out! Eventually they will stabilize in your tank.. while that sounds cool, it really means the majority of them will starve out. You can take them to shops for some credit (not much) give them to friends, trade them for basic corals, etc etc.

I am not sure if they will survive. I was reading up on their reproduction and it says they stay in the water colom for a week before setteling in the sand. The site I read recomeded turning the skimmer off for a week, which I did not do. Ask I already had the skimmer running about a day before I read that advice. I did however turn off the skimmer and pull the filter socks for a few hours after the spawning event. Hoping they would hang out in my chaeto. So maybe I'll be a proud snail parent.

When I was reveiwing the video it kept reminding me of Elsa from Frozen singing the Let it Go song becasue of how it looked like snow. And al the cool spirals it did in the current.
