Hi,
I put a trochus snail in my Biocube 32 about 2 weeks ago and it vanished. I have waited about 5 days now to see if it has come back and it hasn’t shown. I have checked all around the rockwork and in the back chambers of the AIO system and there’s no trace. Only place I haven’t checked yet is my sand, but I intend to tomorrow while I’m doing my water change (I’m unsure whether they even hide in the sand). The lid is completely sealed and there’s no way he would have been able to get out. Has anyone heard/seen this behavior before?
Thanks.

Trochus Snails won’t burrow themselves in the sand like nassarius snails do. He is probably blended in with one of the rocks and you keep looking past him. Check the tank at night, I have about 18 trochus in my 120g and I don’t see them really until nighttime with a light when they are really really active

I’ll continue to throughly look until I find him. Is there any common place in your tank that they like to stay/hide (caves, etc) or are they mostly out in the open?

I thought mine must have been eaten or disappeared. Tonight, I'm feeding the fish and I see an odd point on the rock. I look closer and it's a pretty big trochus covered in coralline. He was right in front of me... like a ninja.
