Hey, please help, I don't know what's going on. I just finished acclimating my Trochus snails for 3 hours, and when I put them in they became less active (not active at all) and flipped themselves on their backs. Does anyone know anything about this kind of behavior?

The tank is 5 months old.
Nitrate: 4ppm
Phosphate: .1 ppm
pH: 8.1
SG: 1.025
And my Alk is high at 16, but I was told this was fine as long as it is a slow acclimation for the snails.

I can't imagine much living in that high of alkalinity. That seriously needs to come down. I would question anyone telling you alkalinity at 16dkh is fine as long as you acclimate to it.
