Hi, just curious if anyone had positive experience using Tropic Marin's A and K elements. I recently switched to tropic marin salt but was possibly thinking of dosing these trace elements. Is it worth doing? have any of you dosing seen improvements in coral color, growth, etc.?

I've been using them for about 5-6 months. Can't say whether or not the changes and improvements I've seen in my corals and overall tank health are due solely to the A and K since I've also made changes to flow and lighting. But I can tell you that my past 2 quarterly ICP tests came back with fewer major and trace elements showing as low that I had seen in past testing.

Thanks for the reply. I am going to give the trace elements a try as I also use ICP testing and will be interesting to see the results once I start to use.

Hi. I was wondering if you tried the elements A and K and what your thouths are on the products.

Hi, I have been using both of these for a few months now. I will say that corals look good but hard to tell if this is what is helping. I do recommend as I started to use the values from ICP seems like it is spot on to where it should be.

Hello. I have been using these products for six years. They come in the TM line as an addition to the classic balling. They don't have a clear task to improve the color of corals. I want to add that for so many years there is no imbalance in micro. Salt change TM 10% once a week

It is an excellent product to me used as pair and I have been using them for about 10 years. Since most of mineral can't be tested by hour home test, it will take a couple of ICP test to get a hang of proper dosage. And start from a lower dosage and then increase while you monitor the results.
If you are interested in Carbon Dosing, you can also use NP-Bacto-Balance which has the same content of K+ plus the carbon dosing liquid.

For those of you who dose TM K+ and A-, how much do you dose a day/week and how much water volume do you have? I'm looking for ball-park/consensus dosing amounts.

I am making 1 ml. per 100 liters. When the reef grows, I double it. When I increase the dosage, every month I send the water for a complete analysis.

Do you dose this amount each day or each week? FYI, my tank has about 140 net gallons of saltwater (530 liters). My SPS are all frags to small colonies.

The solutions are dosed every day. They are on my magnetic stirrer and on the dispenser. If you do not already have active coral growth, then I would start with a small dose and increase as the corals grow, or adjust the dosage based on a complete water analysis.

I have a RSM 250 (65 gal). All softies and LPS. I dose about 2ml of each per day.
