tropic marin bio-actif saltalk change?

So I've been using t Marin bio salt for the last couple months and it has been amazing. clears quickly and mixes great. it has always mixed between 7.8- and like 8.2. however I did a significant water change to my tank, which is around 8-8.4 alk, and it measures in the low 7 ish. So I Mixed up some water and yea the alk now is now around 7. I tried mixing the bucket and tried again and same thing? has anyone had this happen or have any guess? kinda sucks cuz my all dropped from 8- 7 in a day. should I dose slowly up back to 8?
