Tropic Marin Part C Help!

I’m a bit confused.



@Randy Holmes-Farley ‘a recipe calls for 500 grams CaCl2 in 1 gallon.

Does 157.9g of tropic Marin part C in a gallon sound correct to match my concentration?

Also, am I supposed to dose equal mL of part C as I am of the 1&2 parts?
 
If what you mean is that you are using a two part that has 500 g of calcium chloride dihydrate per gallon of RO/DI, then yes to both questions. All three doses will be about equal.
 
I only dose A+B and it works fine.. No sure why the Part C is needed....
With frequent waterchanges my ions are fine and my salinity is fine too.

It will keep ions such as potassium from being depleted by the salinity corrections. :)

It actually has 500 grams in a gallon filled with RO/DI. So, there’s less water than a gallon mixed in.
 
Add 283 grams of sodium hydroxide to 1 gallon of fresh water. It will get quite warm
For this part I added 283 to a gallon and fill the rest with water, so it’s less than a total amount of 1 gallon RO/DI (I saw you said that’s fine to do in your thread, but I’d like to double check that I did it correctly).

Yes, I understand, but the difference is pretty small and not worth worrying about.
