Hey Guys, I just got an iSpringfilter 5 stage 100 gpd RO unit and I'm getting poor flow out of it. The tap water pressure is only about 35 psi, so I got the one with the booster pump which is supposed to increase the water going into the RO membrane up to about 60 psi. It always starts out with decent flow, but after a day or so, it gets reduced to a drip, which only amounts to about 25-30 gallons per day at best. iSpring even sent me a replacement pump thinking the first one may have been faulty, but i still get the same results. All filters and membrane are basically new. Also, the waste water line has heavy flow and I've checked all fittings, lines and made sure membrane is seated correctly. I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions? Help!

I think the membrane may be at fault. I know that 100 GPD membranes do not have very good ratios. Hopefully someone can offer some advice as I have none... Sorry

only thing i can think of is sedimant filter is old and needs replaced or your membrane is bad

All sorts of potential causes (and other issues unrelated to slow production) with that system. Be happy to help you with it. Its probably best if you give us a call when you are in front of the system. It will speed up the troubleshooting process if before you call you get accurate measurements of your tap water TDS and your RO water TDS, and also if you measure the pressure reaching the membrane.

Hopefully Russ will be able to help you figure out what is going on. Another thing that I have read which can effect the rate in which ro water is produced is the temp of the water. From my understanding there is an optimal temp for the water to enter the system, if it is colder than that it can also slow down the production rate.
