Trouble with Trident since new.

Ordered brand new Neptune Trident on October 5th. Received a few days later and sat in the box until after Christmas as it was my wife's present to me. I've had it up and running about 4 months.

Alkalinity never read correctly, always 1 dkh lower than new Hanna testers.

Now it will hardly calibrate new reagents. My Alk is off by 1.5 points of Dkh.

Turned in ticket Sunday received a response Tuesday. Then radio silent. Now on Friday, Morgan is now telling me to watch a YouTube video after hanging me out to dry for 5 days with no response. I've already done the self

In short, I wish I had never purchased the Trident and could get a credit or refund. These problems are rampant with seemingly 0 fix.

I've seen one other (new) friend's Trident that's had a similar issue with calibrating dKH (is low by about -1dKH), but I don't know what the cause/fix is.

Is Hanna correct? Did you test both with the same "known" solution?

Yes.

I gave up on mine! I did an RMA service return, they want to close to ~$200 to fix it after claiming it had bad hoses, etc. I let them keep it (!), for all the hype around the unit, IMO, I don’t think it’s warranted.

Yeah for the cost of purchase and the cost of reagents, it's been a total bust for me.
