Trumpet coral dying need some help.

I got a 1 head from my lfs 2 weeks ago,it was doing really good was opening and at night time you could see polyps at nighyt. 3 days ago,it started to look bad and today you can see how skinny it looks All my other corals are happy. Heres a video i took today earlier. I try feeding reef roids and woudnt see the polyps come out.

Doesn’t look so bad in my opinion. Sometimes they will become skinny when they are growing heads. I would suggest let it be for another week or two and see how it goes. As long as there is no skeleton showing, it should be OK.

Okay good i was getting worried since i saw pictures on google trumpet corals dying and they all looked skinny. Thx again

Looks fine to me too. They are quite a hardy coral so I wouldn’t worry too much.

Make sure that's its not getting too much light. I'm not sure what light intensity your local lfs kept it under, but you should start it off at lower light if possible. Maybe that's why it only expands at night?

Its almost to the sand bed. I keep it on the right bottom of the tank. I have a 20 gallon with ai prime hd for lights.

What settings do you run your light ? What intensity?

Based on that intensity I say as long as the trumpet coral is at least 12 inches under water and the light is at least 6-8 inches above the water line you should be okay. Although it may be a bit on the intense side for a coral that's not used to it. Just keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't start receding. I've had corals go into mood swings for a couple days then come out of it. If you want to do a run down on your parameters it would be a good idea: Temp-75-78 Salinity-1.025-1.026, ph-7.2-8.2, CA-450, KH- 7-11dkh (stability is more important with kh). Mg-1300-1450, Nitrate-5ppm-15ppm. Last thing would be to use a coral dip solution incase of parasites. If there is tissue damage use an iodion dip but as of now it looks fine
