Ive had this for just over a week now and ive seen white areas growing on all three branches. Is it dying or getting bleached?

I have 2 mars aqua 165w leds mounted 16inches off the water with blues at 20% and whites at 10% to acclimate.

Tanks parameters are
Cal 450
Mag 1500
Alk 10.5
Phos 0
Nitrates 0
Salinity 1.026
Temp 78-79 F

Looks like STN. Try a dip like melafix or revive, might help, but doesnt look good

If it is STN, not a good chance of it making it.
When your coral was packed, was it just in the bottom of the bag, or did they attach it to a piece of styro to keep it form getting damage during transport?

So should i remove it or let it be? And It was placed at the bottom of a bag.

It maybe have ended up with some tissue damage while in the bottom of the bag.
As to whether to keep it or not, that is up to you. I personally always give a fighting chance, but I know others who prefer not to. I've purchased corals that look like there is a slim to none chance of living and managed to bring them back. Also have has losses as well, it's a gamble.

I mean if it dies will it hurt the tank at all? I love it if i made it through.

0- phos
0- nitrates
= death , got to have something . Or you also may see Dino’s anytime. ( not good )
If you have algae then your good . No algae especially on the glass ............

Place it in a shaded area of the tank (no direct light). That's how I got mine to come back from the dead.

Good luck

Trumpets are pretty hardy. They like some nitrates. When was it fragged, it might still be healing if it was cut too close to the flesh. Looks like one head is fairly healthy. Let it go if it dies it wont hurt the tank.

Melafix for RTN ????
Trumpets are super hardy. My suspicion is High salinity. Check against another refractometer or other instrument.
other possibility is Bright lights and Low flow. Although theyre not big on high flow, no/low flow can affect them, AND they need to be fed at least 2X per week

I do have algae but i use salifert tester so it may not be exactly zero

I moved it to a area with less light and flow

I dont know when it was fragged all i know is it didnt look like that when it came home. That one head looks the best but i notice a small area getting white while i was moving it

I have checked calibration on my refractometer 3 times

I would suggest a water sample to a trusted LFS to compare against your readings and confirm reading

Okay, well i moved to a lower light and flow area cause it was in a high flow area and i dipped in coral rx so im gonna cross my fingers and hope for the best. I will bring a water sample to my lfs and just confirm my parameters too.

Another thing on feeding i feed 2 times a day morning and night mysis both times and i target feed my corals with reef roids 2x a week. Is that enough for the trumpet?

Yes. They respond well to reef roids and/or Coral frenzy
