Ok this has been bugging me, anyone know why my truvu acrylic tank has the Overflow spliced in half and half of it made useless (doesn't hold water)

? It's very odd and I can't figure out what they were thinking. Thanks guys

The corner section has no bottom, water would pour right through onto the floor. That would be handy though

Weird, now I am really interested too.

Lol me too! I have 2 of these empty sections, one in each rear corner

This is going to drive me nuts.

What size is it, maybe something to do with mounting their stand and canopy with the tank

60x18x24
112g
I bought it used and built my own stand. No canopy currently. Maybe it did have something to do with the original stand and canopy. If nobody knows I'll send an email to the manufacturer (just out of curiosity)

It's called a dry channel and is an optional add on for most custom tanks. It's for running all the cords and stuff through so nothing has to be showing on the outside of your tank. You can run from stand to tank to canopy all your things with 0 showing on any of the 4 sides of the tank. It's for creating a super clean professional looking install...but I must admit most of the time all 4 walls of it are black. Having the outside wall clear so people can see all the things you are trying to hide kinda defeats the reason for having it lol
