Hello: I am a new member and I grateful to have found this forum. I have been keeping fish since I was 12. Started with freshwater, then marine fish only, currently FOWLR set up. I just ordered a Waterbox 100.3 with Hydra32 lighting as my goal now is to move to reefkeeping with a bare bottom - the aquarium, not me, lol! I will be moving my liverock from old aquarium and my 5 beloved fish which I have had for more than 4 years, one about 10 years. My question is what do I need to begin my reefkeeping journey? Keep in mind that the Waterbox and lights nearly took all my budget :( but I believe it was a sound decision. I have in my cart on BRS: Various S4 return, Alkalinity and Phosphate Hanna checkers, reef glue, LED refractometer, BRS 300W titanium heater system - wifi, Salifert Nitrate test kit. I have my uber old powerheads 18+years old but still work. I have been trying to find some used wavemakers online such as the Icecap or vortech to no avail. I have my 100+ gallon corner aquarium with Eshopps sump with refugium, Eshopps skimmer, razor lighting and aquarium for sale or trade. Thank you for your kind attention.

Do you have any fish that need sand?

Howdy and welcome

Welcome and good luck on the built! Will be a lot of stuff to put together, so take it slow. I am not very techy. So setting up the apex was one step per day for me. One day connect to wifi, next connect probe and test, then dos and so on. Else it just turns into too much. Not sure if there is a local fish store. My dude in town can help out if need be and come by my place. Local members of reef clubs are also very helpful. If all fails I ask my 15 year old. Best of luck and have fun!

Hello and welcome to R2R!

Check and see if BRS sells "patience", because that often seems to be what people are lacking when they start a reef tank(including myself).
