Trying to find Pulsing Sinularia

I've also spent time looking, have never seen one, but would love to have one

I called 5 stores today and they had never heard of it

That looks like it’s straight out of a movie like the blob. Is it sentient? I’m scared.

yeah it only really occurs when the flow is really low and it is feeding or disturbed.

Polyps are retracting and opening. Not sure if that's a special type of sinularia.
I’ve never seen a typical sinularia do this. Regardless, the pink variety seems difficult to find overall

I've seen it for sale before listed as red finger leather

Marine farmers has them. But they sell really quick!

I bought one from Marine Farmers a couple of years ago. It pulsed continually for the fist month or so, then gradually decreased and now only some polyps pulse, mostly those around the base. I probably have it in too much flow; it is pretty much in front of a MP40. Moderate grower, brown color. If you are just looking for a pulsing coral, xenia is more available and the polyps are larger so the pulsing is much more obvious. However if you have a softy only tank or otherwise just looking for something unusual, it is a nice low maintenance coral IME. I do dose phyto to my tank daily but otherwise I don't make any effort to feed it etc.

I love mine, however the pulsing behavior seems to be sporadic or completely non-existent depending on light and flow. I got this one from my old LFS before I moved, mostly because it exhibited pulsing in their tank. It was in a fish system with basically no flow with T-12 lighting with a few other softie colonies. In my old tank with T-5 lightning it would pulse occasionally but in my current tank, it shows no pulsating whatsoever, however, it does react exactly like the one in the video when you disturb it. Love the pink color and how it's completely covered in fuzzy polyps, but if you're only goal is a coral that constantly pulses, just get Xenia.

I think one of the local stores here has one, but they call it a blushing coral, since it usually only reacts to being touched

Personally, I like it because it looks like a beautiful coral and pulsing would be a really nice bonus. I would also love the Tracy Morgan gorgonian for the same reason - that great fuzzy look. I have never seen those for sale anywhere that would ship it.

No i was never able to find anyone that has it or is willing to sell theirs. :(
I have a Pulsing Sinularia in my 75 gallon.. I could snip off a piece and trade u a frag of it ..I have been hunting down a frag of Yellow Fiji Leather..I can't find it ..If u don't have it it's o.k any cool soft coral frag would be awesome ...I would have to ship it to you though..I can either snip and send u a fresh cut or attatch it to a frag plug and wait for it to attach..Up to you..My Pulsing Sinularia is in low flow ..It does pulse ..nothing crazy but I can see it pulsing..they don't pulse as fast as Xenia..it's a whole different beast..I'm no expert at shipping, never shipped but I watch alot of YouTube ..I'm pretty sure a few heat pads and a small styraphone box and some news paper will go a long way..I'm in a cold state ..
