Hi everyone. So, I've recently moved up to a IM 30L (36x15x13). I had a slightly smaller tank before with a Kessil A80. When setting up the new 30L I bought another A80 thinking it would be enough light for anything I wanted to grow (including SPS later on down the line). Well, the more I read and learn its dawning on me that they are not going to be enough. So, my thinking is that I slide the A80s to one on each side and add a much better light in the middle. Can someone please give me some guidance on what the middle light should be and will that be ok with the two A80s or should I just junk the A80s and start over with something better (I do like the shimmer of the A80s though. Thanks in advance.

Going to have a lot of good options here.

You can stay with Kessil and do a 360. That would likely do fine for SPS in that tank by itself, but may limit you on the sides. That's where the 80's would come into play, might be pushing growing high demand SPS on the sides but really, no one grows high demand SPS on the edges anyway ;) . Plus the 360 low profile now would look very nice with the 80s.

A 180 would likely be fine for LPS/Softies and low demand SPS - but you mentioned going up to SPS.

You could also go with T5 and use the 80s for supplemental - the aquatic life hybrids for example - but I doubt you'd see any shimmer with 4 T5s.

Alot of good info here.. Looking at a 360 as we speak. Thanks!
