My tank is a 75 gallon and my sump is a 29 gallon which was not the best option but it all came together as a package deal so I'm making it work.

I'm currently running a reef octopus hang on skimmer but I want to move everything tothe sump.

My fuge and chamber where everything feeds into are both running very high volume near the top of the tank and my return pump/ ato are in the only chamber that isn't almost completely full of water.

It's nice keeping this much water but I'm severely limited in space.

I can take pictures in the morning, but does anyone have any suggestions?

I can easily put together a rack to support the skimmer but I'm concerned with having room to clean out the cup.

Well how much space do you have, and how high is the water level? Are you sure the sump will not overflow when the power goes out or you shut off the return pump?

I have a nearly identical setup. 75G tank with 30 G sump. I just changed my skimmer out to a Reef Octopus Regal 150 SSS. It’s great. I would recommend it :)
Re the space issue, you can get a skimmer neck cleaner and drain skimmate via the little drain on the bottom of the cup.

I made sure of that.

How big of a space do you have for the skimmer?
I'll have to measure tomorrow. Maybe 8-9 inches above the water line.

I wish I could come up with a way to bring that water level down but it's not possible without modifyingthe glass. I could maybe remove a piece but that's going to make things weird.

I think i have an idea on how to get the level situation dealt with, just need to figure out what I can fit through the openings in my stand. It's a tight space unfortunately.

You’re going to need to lower that baffle at least four inches, and 6-8” is better. It’s easy enough to cut it out, just cut the silicone with a box cutter. Once it is out it easy to score and cut, there are lots of videos on YouTube. Then silicone back in.

That was my thought. I mayjudt remove all together. I'd have to drain the sump to silicone it back in.
