Ok.... So I have a pair of Tomato Clowns.

The first is about 8 years old and about the size of a quarter. The second is 6 years old and about the size of a silver dollar.

I think of them as "paired"; when the lights go out, they host the same corner of the tank. When the lights are on, they are together, except when feeding.

Is the female the bigger one or the smaller one?

And why after so many years of bonding has the female not laid eggs?

The female is generally the larger of the pair. Not sure the breeding question. I know with my clowns they will lay randomly. Sometimes I'll have eggs every two weeks, other times they'll go months without laying.
