Does anyone have a TSA Rainbow Fusion colony? Just looking for some pictures if anyone would be so kind!

I picked one up super cheap. It's allegedly a rainbow fusion but its a small frag and a bit dull so its hard to tell. Curious what a "real" colony looked like and I was having trouble finding pictures beyond the TSA photos. I'll post a picture when I get home.

Meh I can't get a picture of it that doesn't look completely washed out. But it looks nothing like what you posted

. Still looks pretty neat though, hoping it just needs to color up/recover.

It could just need time to color up. When you look at my pic you will see a larger piece in the background. I bought that larger piece from a local hobbyist but it didn’t have much color at first but today it is almost fully colored up.

Really old thread I'm bringing back here but here is our mother colony shot from when she was all colored up(and not fragged and ready to go through QT into the new farm). Its one of those pieces that you have to leave a alone so that it colors up well and the second we cut it, it takes about a month for the frag to come back to its nice color

Curious why have it go through QT a second time?

I’m wondering the same thing? Or does TSA shoot the colony upon arrival and then go through the process of acclimation. If so, that is a bit unfortunate.

They moved and redid their whole farm and setup. I believe they quarantined everything before it was allowed into their new systems. There is a whole thread on their new farm on R2R. I am sure it’s mentioned there as well.

QT was a bit of a misnomer, we are inspecting, dipping and rebasing all corals from our old farm to our new facility. They are also being cut up into multiple different pieces to start several different mother colonies. We plan to have a rotation so that no one colony gets cut from too much. We're going with the rather be safe than sorry approach. Corals from our current QT'd systems are guaranteed to be free of any and all coral consuming pests but we do have other non-coral consuming issues we want to get right the second time around. The biggest being vermited worms, which we are currently totally removing from all our systems and tunicates(because some people mistake them for pests when they are not). This second farm is going to be even cleaner than our previous one and we're stoked about it!
We do not name corals before they have gone through QT because there is no certainty that they will make it through after all the stress put on them. Eventually we'll do a write up on how we do it but you can check out a video through American Reef Channel if you're interested.
